I do. And I'm about to leave a negative eval if I don't get some sort of communication that includes proof that the asstard actually shipped it tomorrow. :|

No kidding. Most traders scoff at ebay feedback. Others have called it useless. Some would say, no heatware - no trade.

Any questions??

Nothing wrong with heatware or ebay. I do always make sure that the e-mail is valid by sending the person an e-mail.

There are so many things wrong with that sentence.

I use it. Even if negative reviews are posted in fear of retaliation, I think its an indication of an honest trader if there are enough positives over a good period of time. If someone has no references of any sort, I would either not deal with them or insist that they pay or ship first.

gecko, do you do quite a bit of trading on the FS/T forums here? Most of the people here use heat almost exclusively.

That makes absolutely no sense.

My thought exactly ...

Ebay is fine but there it is a binding contract unlike the forums so ebay feedback is fine but heatware is a main outlet for me to go by..
;)

And just what would that be?

Agreed, a lot of people I've dealt with could give a rip about ebay feedback. It doesn't let you go into near enough detail if the circumstances are anything but great, which is some circumstances they aren't.

If you don't win an auction on ebay from the seller there is no way to leave feedback for him/her and some people don't like using ebay just like you might not like using heat.

the only way i accept ebay feedback is if i can click their name on ebay ask them about our pending anandtech deal, adn they reply. other than that ebay feedback isnt that useful since it could be anyone.

tons of people still use heatware, its in use on many message boards and very well done. i have used it a LOT as you can see by my heat. I was going to donate some stuff to them , they deserve it but apparently they arent taking donations anymore.

ebay feedback is a joke. I've only used heat a couple times, and just used it the other day when i bought a mouse off of AT.

I have yet to see a compelling argument for ebay over heat. I've got 70 some ebay feedback, 100% positive over 2 1/2 years, buying and selling, and I can and will reply to the email if they send it, yet "ebay feedback doesn't mean anything to me, you have to have heat". I just say "ok, bye" to those moronic traders.
