Does anyone really care anymore?

Something I have been thinking about the past little while. Does anyone really care anymore? My parents cared about me, but both of them have passed on now. The rest of my family cares a little, but not really. So what do you think? Is the world totally screwed in the regard? I know there are some who care, but it seems like I have yet to meet people who would really care enough to get involved in someones life. Perhaps I am just lonely. What do you think honestly?

It's hard for people to see much farther than the end of their nose. You may think they don't care, but they're just busy with life.

I've been thru some stuff lately that shoulda curled my hair. People I'd never met before were coming out of the woodwork to offer support with no notice whatsoever. People will be there for you if you need them.

Get up, get out, as the saying goes. Find someone to talk to about things you have in common.

 
people don't show that they care. today, in the news, you hear about parents stashing their children in the trunks of their cars, both parents mauling a 2 year old, a 7 year old punching his sister to death... it is in reaction to this that people have the impression that others don't care. it's sad. i think people need to realize it's important to invest in other people's lives, because before you know it, they can be gone or have made a terrible mistake.
 
Yeah I guess I really need to find people to talk to, but I really don't have many friends. At least not friends that I can talk to. I usually end up talking to people about their problems, but am to afraid to talk about my problems. And thanks for reminding me about alcohol. I think I will lay off it for a while and see if I feel any better.
 
It only sounds worse because the devil (media) is so much more efficient at getting the information to you.

You think POW's weren't "mistreated" in WWII?
 
I am not really reffering to the media. I don't watch news much. I was just thinking about people in general. People that you come into contact with by just living your life. Perhaps I just wish for better circumstances or a happier life.

I bet you will. Join a gym, take a class, whatever, just go find people that you already have one thing in common with. You'll find more things to share if you put some effort into it.

If you are already depressed about problems in your life, find a professional to talk to. You'd be surprised how much the load lightens when you talk about it.

what do you mean is the world screwed? if we all die, the world is still gonna be there, and other forms of life will take over. hell, if we nuke the planet a billion times, it will still be there, and other forms of live will take over. unless of course we alter its orbit and it crashes into the sun.
