I know a few and for the most part i hope they make it and that imigration reform happens soon enough for them. I mean i know 1 who's been here more than a decade, have a job, been paying taxes etc. but is still an alien.

Maybe the SOLVE act will get passed soon or Pres.Bush's plan..

I hope they go through the proper channels to become citizens like they're supposed to.

If they work and pay taxes, more power to them. Coming here legally isn't as easy as many people make it sound.

1) go into my local mexican resturant
2) close my eyes
3) point my finger in a random direction.

My second cousins (mother, father, 3 boys) were for a long time, they recently were granted citizenship. Never spent a day on welfare, now own the somewhat stereotypical two gas stations, three cars and the kids are off to college.

I agree ... it's hard for people to come over. I know someone that now works as a in-home nurse. He is about 45 - 50 years old, has epilepsy, and was illegal for most of his time here. He was the everyday nurse for my uncle, who was paralyzed 30 years ago in a motorcycle accident. He passed away last year.

As long as these immigrants can lead productive and law abiding lives, I have no care if they are here. Some might say that Americans don't do either of the afore mentioned, and that's definately true.

Why make them legal, pretty soon they will have to move back to Mexico to find a job, as under Dumbya and corporate greed all the jobs are moving to Mexico and other cheap labor places. Unless your frineds like doing stoop labor in some farmers field, we don't need them, we don't want them, and we certianly cannot afford them.

They overwhelm our schools, health care, drive like idiots without bothering to stop for red lights, etc. and do not have insurance. We pay in so many ways for these illegals, and Dumbya thinks "this is a good thing", what a fvcking idiot

I understand that they come here out of despiration, can't say I wouldn't do the same in their situation, however if you know an illegal, say hello to the one threat to this country that will destroy this country. A terrorist can blow up a building at best, that will not destroy a country. 14+ Million illegals (and growing by thousands every day) will destroy this country, and within 10 years or less.

I personally know many illegals and think they should all be deported. Just a little cost prohibitive since we have let it get to this point.

If they're here illegally, they need to be deported. Period. If I knew of one, I'd turn them in in a heartbeat.

Also if they cant apply for a SSN, the IRS/Govt offers something called TIN (Tax Identification Number) which they can use to pay for taxes.
