Does anyone NOT regularly go to the dentist, but have good teeth?

I'm scheduled for another checkup but I hate the dentist. I have a bad history with cavities, but it has gotten better. The last few times they have just put my teeth on "watch", and I think I had one cavity. So basically they are supposed to be watching those certain teeth to see if a cavity forms.
But I don't want to go. Sooooo what should I do?

I've never had a cavity and a couple years ago my dentist said I could only go once per year instead of twice as long as my teeth stay this way.

You, however, should go. Is it really that bad or are you really that lazy? An hour at the dentist now could save you tons of pain and money in the long run.

Well I have no insurance right now, and I just hate getting shots if I have cavities.

i had braces as a kid..they arnt perfect but not bad. I go like once every year to two years now and i have no cavities and such..

There's nothing wrong with going if you have a good dentist. My dentist is virtually painless, and I haven't had cavities since I was a little kid.

I only go when I have a problem. However, due to using a Sonicare toothbrush twice a day + Listerine, I have perfectly healthy teeth and gums. The dentist comments on my lack of tartar when they do a cleaning.

I hadnt been to the dentist in 12 years. I chipped my tooth and wanted to get it fixed. He said I had no cavities and that my teeth were in perfect condition.

As long as you have a slight clue about oral hygiene, most people are fine.
