I think we should have a competition for a ranking system to replace this one.

I was just about to suggest a list, but then I noticed that there is a half drunk pint of beer in my bedroom fridge here....

As far as I remember, it was a grade put in for a week or two above senior member.
 
yea... i have been here going on 5 years... and i do not recall this either. am i missing somthing?
 
to be honest, i think it says something about folks who have been on this forum for a while (what that "something" is... i have not decided if its really pathetic or that they are aweome people who can deal with all the interesting stuff that comes and goes.)

Agreed. Getting rid of them altogether would be a good thing and would cut down on useless post ++'ing.

The Old system of Jr., Member, Sr. and Elite (adn earned title reserved only for the most useful contributors to the board) was as good as it ever needed to be.

Elimintating postcount and titles would also eliminate incentive to post. You could have 20 elite candidates in the same forum, but unless someone has something to post that will get their attention...the forum would be head.

It's sort of sad that you need post counts and titles as a sort of incentive to contribute. Then again knowing this does somewhat explain your forum behavior.
