I'm looking for a case that will let me remove parts of it if they are in my way or are not needed.

All of the cases I have either have the parts like the HD drive cages, riveted or if they use screws are used to support the front of the case itself.

I would love to have a case where I can remove parts of it to make extra room.
Are there any cases that put the fan in the front up higher where it would blow directly across the cpu ?

I took a small midtower case and placed a 120mm fan in the drive bays in the front where it blows across the memory, then cpu and straight out the back, but its not very nice looking.

Closest I have come to that was to use a compaq tower case from years ago.
It has more room inside than the current cases, but I need something just a bit smaller.

The closest thing would be the Cooler Master Stacker and maybe the Antec Nine Hundred. I have the Antec and you can move things around.

There is a fan in each of the two drive cages and then another fan that can be mounted on the back of the drive cage.

I'm pretty sure the stack works in a similar fashion. You can move stuff around up to a point.

Most of the "Stacker" type cases allow you to move stuff around as needed. Xion has one, Aerocool has several, Silverstione is coming out with the Kublai series which is built on the same chassis design as the Xion Stacker but has a better HDD cage and looks better IMO. There is one called the Lian Li Modular Cube which is actually made and sold by someone else - only a couple of online resellers carry them so the price is kept high - there is a video review on 3DGameMan.com .
