Does anyone make a kidproof LCD protective screen cover?

Basically to keep kids from pressing the screen surface. I was under the impression that this can damage an lcd.

make a cabinet using plastic from home depot and put the lcd behind it or else they will destroy your lcd.

I bet there is. Just try cdw.com or something. Search for screen filter or screen protection.

I bet the back of your hand would work pretty well (applied to kid, not to screen). You'll just get one smudge that way but the screen will be clearer to look at. Either that or hang the screen out of reach. I'm all about coming up with innovative solutions to problems, as you can see.

Actually, I have a sheet of plexiglass from Home Depot I had planned to use for a pc case mod. I'm just wondering if it reflects badly, but I think I'll try that first. I can always buy the "high priced spread" if it doesn't perform.

In my experience, nothing is kid proof. I have 3 children, their ages are 11, 10, and 9. Nothing is sacred nor safe. :D

The AG Neovo M, S, and X series LCDs have a glass bezel that protects the screen. And the X series LCDs have an all steel body that makes them really tough, but not as light.
The glass they use will protect the screen from fingers, sneezes, etc. but if a kid takes a letter opener or ballpoint pen to it, it can still cause minor scratches. The glass is almost like a prescription sunglass type glass.

my friend just shot his 17" LCD with his airsoft, now half the screen doesn't work. You should probably put idiot proof instead of kid proof :p

Just put a lock on the door of the computer room or lock up the laptop when you are not using it. Take it with you even. :)

Like the man said - ain't nothin' really kid proof.
