Jersey is bigger and has more overall crap. Oakland has less total crap, but more crap per square mile due to crap concentration.

I've seen very few of them.

Hoboken is mostly young people from the mid-west or rural areas from neighboring states who don't want to live in Manhattan (but work in Manhattan or Jersey City).

The beach areas in NJ, yes, absolutely. Hoboken is NOT a beach town.
