Expect near the same prices, but Lenovo will also be introducing other models (widescreen T-series) so who knows how pricing will be affected

When you say expect near the same prices, do you mean the prices that the T60 was at when it released earlier this year or the price it is at right now at $1300. If its going to be $1300 with Core 2 duo i'll wait a few weeks but if the price is going to jump up to 2k or so, i'll buy a duo and upgrade later or keep the duo. I do like the fact that its 64 bit but i don't want to pay 700 more for it.

Unfortunately I don't have that much specific information, but my belief is that prices will be near current levels for the T60 since the CPU's themselves should be in wide availability by October. However this may be complicated by the fact that Lenovo will be releasing at least one new model (widescreen T-series) and I don't know if these will constitute T61's or some other new model type. With new models usually comes higher prices.

The prices on T60's now are awesome and Core 2 Duo mainly offers a performance boost, no battery life advantages, so personally I say go with Core Duo now if you can't wait. If I hear more details I'll let you know
