Ok, I think the name of the band (but I'm not sure) is "Shabel" or "Shanel" (phonetic spelling, I just heard this on the radio). I don't remember any of the lyrics, but it's kinda like Avril Lavigne + Linkin Park mixed together.

The vocals are by a female singer, while the background music is rock, similar to what Linkin Park does with a lot of bass ... it actually sounds a bit like the music in Adema's "The Way You Like It". In the chorus there's a little bit of white rap (just like Linkin Park, again).

This is a new song, I've never heard it before and I've never heard of the band before either, and they only played it on a few Alternative/Modern Rock stations.

Can someone help me out? Does anyone know what I'm talking about? This song ROCKS!!!!!

Yeah that song rocks - heard it about a month ago. The fusion of the chick's voice with those hard guitars and the male vocalist's thing at the end there give me goosebumps.

It's on some soundtrack or something.. Daredevil I think?
 
Umm, I'm listening to that song now, so it it like a demo or something? Because like every 20 seconds there's about a second or two when there's like this "whish" sound that's not on the radio (seems like interference). I tried several versions but they all seem the same. Maybe it's just because the album isn't out yet?

It took me a loooong time to find an mp3 cut of the song without the "whoooshing" effect. I'm not sure if that was done to prevent burning or trading or what prior to release, or if it was someone's botched attempt at lifting the .ra clip on the band's main site. In any case, there is a good mp3 of the song out there, you just have to hit Kazaa and DL about every version of it you can find.

Funny I was wondering if this song would get radio play since historically from what I hear of the rest of that band's stuff they sound pretty goth; I didn't really like the other stuff of theirs I DL'd. This single is clearly mainstream though and if they can get that same type of production on their future stuff they could really blow up IMO.

Not that we need another Linkin Park hybrid but the female vocals add a lot IMO.

It might be another Adema. I love "The Way You Like It" but I don't like any of their other songs.
 
I think they're all named the same. But I found a good one. I'm going to loop it for about an hour until I'm sick of it. Thanks guys.

They're all named the same, file sizes different though. I could fire up Kazaa and let you know the particulars, but I'm still at work. 🙁 If you can't get it by tomorrow email me and I'll fire up Kazaa before I work tomorrow and you can leach it. Email in line in my sig...
