Everyone I know is making tons of money on the market, so I'd just hop in if I were you

EDIT: I've used MSN money's portfolio manager to do this before, but I don't think it keeps track of your running total. You can buy x amount of stock at x price, then see how much you've made or lost since that purchase. Yahoo finance has something similar.
