You didn't say forever, you said "throughout life". Pain, in one form or another, will never go away for good. You may not feel pain at all times, but you will never escape it as long as you are alive, whether it be the pain of losing a loved one on the pain of stubbing your toe. How you percieve and deal with it may change throughout your life, but it will still be there.

In that case, chilbdbirth stays the same, cause there will always be kids being born, and the weather is always the same, because there will alwys be weather, and most of what everyone else said is true, too.

Speed of light is constant now, but wasn't necessarily always the same as it is now. (constant ever since shortly after the big bang...)
