Does anyone know the clearance on the door of an Antec P180?

I am looking at this simple controller for use in a Antec P180 case but want to make sure it will fit with the door closed. Does anyone have any idea what the clearance is on the case door? does anyone who has this case have a favorite fan controller? thanks!

How do you know that? Have you tried it out? do you have door depth measurements? If so I would love to see them in case I decide to go for a different fan controller.

It will definately fit. I have a Sunbeam fan controller on my P180, and the knobs are about the same size as that Vantec. I have that Vantec also, but it shorted out, so I replaced it with the sunbeam.
Anyway there is still plenty of space behind the door, even with the fan controller installed. So no worries.

Yeah there is HUGE space between the door and the front bezel. You could fit almost any fan controller you wanted.

Its not like a normal case door. There is vents on the sides so when its closed your intake fans still get some air flow. Its way different than any case I've every had

sorry i didn't explain coz i don't have measurements but i know it fits. I have a P180 so i know. I'm using the Aspire FanMaster which has knob of similar size.

Anyway you should take a look at the FanMaster (i got it at Xoxide). It comes anodized silver, copper, black, red, blue face plates. The black one fits P180 well. The backlit color of the LCD can be changed to several beautiful colors as well. It's 4 channel and not very expensive.

Lol, I find that funny. I am currently using a $5 4 channel fan controller and it works fine. All a fan controller is are a bunch of pots hooked to regulate voltage so even a "cheap" one should work well.

Looks and extra features aside, they should all be good.

Thanks for that, I will take a look at the fanmaster as well. Sorry if I cam across as rude, I was just trying to acertain where you got your data

The Sunbeam is cheaper. That was my point.

Also, link your $5, 4 channel, fan controller. I am looking for one to rip apart and remount.

Pulse With Modulation (PWM) fan controllers can make some fans buzz at lower speeds. Just FYI. I believe there is a certian sunbeam one that doesn't use PWM, so that might be why it's reccomended. I have the aerogate and it makes my fans buzz pretty loudly, so I don't use it.

I just measured 17 mm. Checked it twice.

I dunno. I get 19 mm from the front of the bezels to the front edge of the side air-inlet panels where the door meets it. Then the door itself has 2-3 mm of depth inside it. One of us has a funky ruler 🙂

You're right. I checked it a third time and get 19. Also, I didn't realize about the added depth inside the door panel. So there is 21 to 22 mm total.
