Does anyone know of a software program that will let me use my computer as a phone?

Hi all,

I'd like to hook up my computer to my phone/phone line and use it as a regular phone.

I would then use a headset/mic connected to the computer to answer/recieve/send/put calls on hold etc.

Essentially, my computer would be my phone.

Does anyone know of a software package that will allow me to do this? If so can you pleeeease lmk.

I do have a modem, but I'm not sure if it's a voice modem. I'll have to investigate it.

Could you please tell me more.
