That's standard operating procedure for eWiz shipping out Enhance PSUs. I've gotten three and they were all like that.

So it will save power, but it won't really do anything to your power bill. You'd get more benefit by turning off the PC at night. But I do always like things which are efficient.

Nice work. That 20W I mentioned was nearly spot on... though really I just pulled that number out of my ass. Basically if already buying a new unit (whole computer or just PSU) shop for 80+ efficiency. If not already wanting/needing to buy one, saving $12/year to leave a computer on 24/7 won't pay for the new PSU anytime soon.

Haha, yeah, Enhance PSUs are totally badass. Mine came wrapped in plastic bag and some brown box. Enhance PSUs are shipped naked to the reseller, no fancy boxes. :thumbsup:

Anyway, nyker96: it sounds like you want a quality/efficient PSU, but are concerned with justifying the cost. Bear in mind that you could always use an S12 430, or even S12-380, without any problem, unless you're running crossfire or high-end SLI

80% --75% theres not really a whole lot of difference....

plus just because a PSU has a 80% effiency does not mean it`s of good quality or even reliable for that matter........But there are alot of good PSU`s in the mid to high 70%`s and even 80%+.....
