Does anyone know if my SMC barricade router has some default firewall settings enabled?

I just obtained a SMC Barricade 4port router and couldn't make out the firewall setting instructions very well. Is there some default firewall settings to prevent snoops, hacks, etc. If not then what are the normal ports to allow and other to block on a SOHO setup?

If its a NAT box, which I'm sure it is, it should be fairly secure out of the box. It's when you tinker with it that you open yourself up...

The firewall is always enabled, the only thing that you can do is ease it if necessary, i.e. you can put a computer in the DMZ or open ports. Otherwise it is always set by default to the max.

If you want to check you system log here, scroll down to ShieldsUp, and click on it.

ShieldsUP!

Well, i'm kinda relieved now that I have some protection now and can see what's been hitting my router w/ these logs and that they can't get in w/ that NAT feature. Thanks for the help.
