Does anyone know if "learning remotes" work with the MS Xbox?

Just curious, because I'm getting my first home theater setup, and I'd really rather have ONE remote for the TV, the receiver, and the Xbox DVD player if possible. I'm assuming that the IR receiver is the part of the kit that unlocks the DVD playback, but I'd like to be certain.

Anyone tried this yet???

LMK...

You can only get the IR receiver with the X-Box DVD remote, and chances are extremely
good that the reciever has been designed to not work with any universal remote.

You will need the IR receiver.

The Xbox remote uses RCA remote codes
so a universal will work if you tell it that you have a RCA DVD player.

Or you can use the Learning Feature to copy each function individually.

OK, I've had the DVD Kit for the Xbox for a while now...

So, I should be able to use a learning remote or RCA remote codes, eh?

Good deal, thanks for the info, guys!
