Does anyone know how to look up how much a house sold for?

I know the address of the house and that it was sold within the last two months. Armed only with that limited information, how can I find out who bought it and for how much? And can I do it right here (sitting on my arse) or do I need to do some leg work?

county Tax assessors office. some areas this will be a city office instead. Real estate has to be registered with them & it is public record.

in areas where they have a web site, you can look it up online.

here in Fl many counties have an online data base.

Many areas have real estate sales people that keep up with sales as well & maintain a sales data base too
