Does anyone know of a way to permanently disable that advertisment for the Patriot memory, or at the very least stop it from blinking? I'll uninstall the flash player if I have to, it bugs me that much, but I thought I'd ask if anyone know of a way to disable it. :D
Thanks in advance for your help!

It's a dupe. A crosspost, already posted in Forum Issures six minutes earlier. No patience in this new member's makeup!

I use the custom HOSTS file from here: http://www.mvps.org/winhelp2002/hosts.htm (be sure to read the stuff about disabling a service so it doesn't slow you down) and I see very few ads - it short circuits calls to a large number of ad providers, tracking sites, known malicious sites, etc. But you have to remember it is there as it will block access to places you may want to go from a google search, etc. as it also blocks calls to the ad-click counting sites - there is usually a URL that you can copy and paste to get to the wanted site. Plus my browser, SeaMonkey, cuts some ads too.

And you can rt. click on the ad and uncheck Loop. Then it will run only once.

AdBlock can get squirelly. It acts up badly after an upgrade to the browser. If anyone recalls another really bad Patriot Ad (for which I swore, and continue to swear, never to buy even a single speck of Patriot product), with a cowlike Lara Croft style character wearing double D boobs and twin rayguns/ pistols - flopping around in a banner side ad shooting the "guns" in a particularly annoying manner. It really got to me because of my left lens' small cataract. That was when and why I personally first asked about blocking a flash ad.

Wow thanks everyone! I don't know what happened but that ad is gone now. I didn't do anything, it's just not there anymore. So much nicer now. Sorry for the double post, I'll refreain from doing that in the future.

Thanks again!
