originally, this little project i am doing involved converting a pdf to a doc file. i looked on google, it seems people are suggesting that i convert the pdf to html (or rtf), and then to text or doc. the problem i am facing now is that after i get the html file, when i open it with ms word, i have lost all my formatting. is there a was to convert an html file to a doc file without losing my formatting? or is there a way to open the html file in word so that i do not lose my formatting?

I am using an older version of Word 97 and I still have the same problem. I lose the formatting everytime try to convert an .html to Word.

Here's a good luck bump for ya, Spanky...

Have you tried opening the HTML file in IE and then copying and pasting it into Word?

What version of word are you using? also, could you link to an example html file that won't get properly into word?

i am using MS Office2000. the html file i am trying to convert is of someone's resume. it's kinda like this.

Well one way is to open the file in front page, and save as ALL FILES and name your file with a .doc ext. You may have to remove some of the front page components afterwards. but formatting seems intact with your example.
