Pretty much the same as anything else... If you want to do something better, then do it more often.
If you want to jump higher, then jump to build up those particular muscles. Add weight, if jumping alone isn't a good enough workout.
Oh, and drop some weight if you need to.

Thats what i thought i heard like if you use 3 pound ankle weights will jump roping it would help. I mean naturally if afterwards you are still trying to jump, minus the ankle weights, you will leap higher? Seems logical anyways.
