Their first album was magic. On a slightly unrelated note, Orbison was an amazing singer. he had such a great voice. It's a shame he's dead.

I find Petty's music rather uninspiring, but I am also very surprised to see so many people that do not know who he is. He used to do surprise gigs at the Malibu Inn which was pretty cool. I used to have a regular Wednesday night gig at the same venue.
