Does anyone here not have any friends?

When I'd read books growing up,and there'd be a main character who was relatively lonely, even they had at least one semi-close friend. I really have none. I go to bars/clubs alone. So when girls ask 'so where are your friends' i have to make up some lie about them being on their way, or me meeting them elsewhere in a few minutes. usually girls don't fall for it at all. Anyhow, am I the only one here with absolutely no close friends at all? No friends at all really?


I post all the stuff I do on ATOT because honestly, I have not a single friend in the world, and no one to tell any of this to. All my YAGTs and all that garbage, it's really because other than you guys reading it, there's not a single friend on Earth that knows I exist.

A lot of acquaintances, no real friends.

Btw, I do the same thing at clubs that you do sometimes.

I can sell you my friends, I really have no interest for them. Hey, let's go to wonderland, let's go play pool, let's go out to eat. Hey heres a GOOD idea, let's have a fun day of multiplayer Rogue Spear, it's a hell of a lot cheaper and certainly more fun.

A computer is the only friend you really need; as long as it's attached to tubes by which you can communicate with sentient beings of equal proposition.

i consider myself to be the "plan b" friend. When they have nothing else to do, give me a call. But if by chance they go out or whatever, just blow me off. pretty cool

Yea, same here.
I got a lot of acquaintances, know some people at school, and probably 1 real friend.....and a few more that are just stupid ;)

The recent research that came out regarding people not having close friends seems true to me. I have lots of friends who I'm in contact with, but we don't get together much because we have different interests as we grow older. With all the electronic communication we are often less likely to seek face to face contact. I still have my sports though and I make new contacts.

I have 2, maybe 3 people that I grew up with and consider real friends. I don't see them often, though, maybe a few times a year. And maybe several dozen acquaintances that I don't hang out with.

Always been an introvert, and preferred my own company.

Now that I'm married with kids they take up the entirety of any social desires I would have.

I know guys that are married with kids, and they go play softball and to the bar with their friends, I have no interest in that.

I enjoy sitting by myself, drinking, reading, browsing and playing games.
I don't need any more soical stimulation than that 98% of the time.

I have my group of close friends I'd like to think of as brothers. Ever since I moved an hour away for college I only get to see them a few times a month. Haven't made any real friends at school, just small talk with people in class.

I have reached the point in life that friends have become optional.
The activities I do with my friends have become so redundant: basketball, bowling, go window shopping, eat.
now that we have all gone to work, we just go dinner occasionally and talk about random crap.
Now I just work during my weekdays and just play some games study whatever during the weekend.

I have a few close friends. Sometimes I feel like I don't have any because they never call me. But, during the week, I am either studying, at work, or sleeping. And on weekends, I'm with my girlfriend, so it gets hard to do stuff. I kind of did it to myself, but I can rely on my friends. And, if I wanted to, I could go do stuff with them, its just that I have a lot on my plate right now, so to speak. I do long for social interaction though. Haven't had much of it since September :(

I have a lot of acquaintences. A few friends. Aside from my boyfriend, who I live with, I only go out to see a friend once every couple weeks.

Most of the time I feel like I don't really have friends, though, and I guess it usually doesn't bother me.
