I kinda make my bed. If I've had a rough night and pulled the sheets up, then I do make it. Otherwise, I'll just put my pillow back at the top and leave my afghan where it ended up.

No. Not at all. If I am lucky it gets made once a month, but when I wash the sheets I do make it. Im too tired and busy when I wake up to do it, and far too tired when I get home, so when Its finally time to get in bed there isnt a point. Most of the time I push to comforter over to the corner and just use the sheet(s) cause I get too hot. I do take showers every morning though.

Yeah. Of course I am in a dorm room though, so a messy bed would make the entire room look like a mess. Plus my bed also doubles as a couch (have some hugeass pillows) so I make it as soon as I wake up.

kami, me too. Actually my bed is a couch. I don't use my bed. I don't actually make the couch though. I have a blanket and I throw it on the floor so the dog can use it when I'm not. I should charge him for it though. I'm tired of him using it for flea.

Always. It takes me no more than 30 seconds.

I like the look and feel of a "made bed" when it is time for me to go to retire at night. Like being in a hotel. Like cracking open a virgin bed.

Haven't made up the bed more than once or twice since I left my parent house. GF's, maids, and now my wife seem to do a pretty good job of it though. Actually, since my early 20's I've always had a maid on a regular basis to take care of household tasks; they're good at those kind of things.

Oh come on ... if you're going for the nerd crowd, that really should be a Linux style prompt. You are using make after all. And if you're using DeadRat, for optimal accuracy it should segfault about 5 minutes into make bed. :D

See, with clothes and personal hygiene, it matters because you will smell if you don't regularly take care of them. And I can understand washing your car because you want to keep a presentable appearance. Yes, making your bed also presents a nice appearance, but the car simply gets many more viewers than you bed! Well... at least for me.

Think of the time you spend washing your car and divide by the number of people who sees it. I'm sure that's MUCH LESS TIME than time spent making bed daily divided by number of people who sees that. Now if someone special is coming over... you better make your bed (and ask that special someone if they want to mess things up)!
