Does anyone here know how to use Retrospect Express 6.1

I have a computer with a WD My Book that came with Retrospect Express. Some idiot reinstalled the operating system on the iMac and deleted the catalog file that links to the backups on the external hard drive. I cannot find another catalog file on the external HDD. How do I go about creating one that will allow me to restore backup files from the external HDD to the computer? Please help because this has been bothering me for hours now and I cannot figure it out.

This sounds like a question that would get a faster answer in a WD forum. Have you tried over there?

I have all incremental backups and full backup on the external HDD but I need a catalog file that is long gone. Why on earth would the company that makes this software require the catalog file be on a computer that can crash and burn? It does not make any sense. How can I get this up and running again?

Roxio bought Retrospect? I've never used it, but pre-Time Machine they kind of were the only SMB backup tool available for Macs.

I'd suggest downloading a trial of the current Retrospect for Mac. I'm assuming a full-featured version has better recovery tools than a bundled "lite" version from years ago. (This is conjecture on my part.)
