UPDATE: Has anyone read enough of it yet? What is your opinion of it thus far? I'm interested in it even though the reviews aer pretty bad....

I don't usually read stuff like this. I primarily read technical texts, or philosophy, but I'm tempted to take up Amazon's offer at 21 bucks. Does anyone else intend to read the book, I mean its the #1 seller on amazon.com, so what's your justification?

Do you think you can take anything away from reading the book that you wouldn't hae had before?
 
I'm sure I will eventually, I thought he was a good Prez and an amazing speaker, so I'm sure he has some fascinating stories to tell.

Why bother? Most of it isn't written by him anyway. Hired writers, my friends, hired writers.

Besides, he is a former president. The thing is going to be sanitized beyond belief. No juicy secrets, nothing we don't already know.

I was Governor - banged my secretary
Went to Washington - banged the hotel counter chick
Went to Germany - banged some ho
Got elected - banged female limo driver
Moved into White House - banged gardener

Lather. Rinse. Repeat.
 
actually, he did write it himself. longhand, too. i'd like to read it, but i think i'd also be interested hearing the 50+ hour unabridged audio version, read by him 🙂
