Can't you just download newer drivers off the Creative website anyway?

IIRC I don't think you can - you need the original CD to install latest drivers, thats why I'd never buy another Creative product again.

Thats odd because I just downloaded the drivers for my Audigy 2 off of Creatives website and they installed without a problem (I don't have the original installation cd either).

Oh right...perhaps they've changed their policies though I know that you never used to be able to install driver updates without first installing the original driver CD.

You only need the CD if you're installing it for the first time.

I'd help you out, but my burners can't break the copy protection. Tried it on 3 different drives :(

All of Creative's driver updates and software updates come in self-extracting archives. If it says, when you open it, that there must be existing drivers/software for it to update them, open the archive in an archive program (winrar, 7-zip). Locate the setup file that will allow you to install the software/driver without the existing software/driver.

Well I don't have the installation cd for my Audigy 2 either so I tried installing the EAX console without it and it failed. There does seem to be a problem here...Any ideas?
