Does anyone here ever drive with the music off?

I noticed while driving around for awhile looking for a job, that i seem to ALWAYS have the music on. So, i rolled down the windows, shut off the music, and actually listened to the sounds of the outdoors for once. Ya know, i never knew my turn signal did the 'double-blink' noise until today, and ive owned the car for nearly a year...

haha, anyone else constantly drive with the radio on??

i'd rather drive with it off then be one of those annoygin people who drives with it up at full blast annoys the hell out of everyone on the planet

Well, lately my car's right front wheel has been making some noise (had the wheel bearing replace, they didn't do it quite right) so I've been keeping the radio off to listen to that sometimes.

I also leave the radio off when I do a speed run down an empty street near where I live. Like to listen to the engine. 😀

Yea, it was really sweet hearing the turbocharger spool around 3-4k....

The radio stations here are crap. I frequently do it when I'm tired of the CDs in my car. Excellent for thinking.

Seriously??

Especially on long trips - I tend to drive for long periods without stopping so I either listen to one tape over and over or crack the windows and let the wind make the music.

For long trips i recently discovered the joy of books on cd (well, mp3 😀)

<< The roar of a throaty V8 is music to me 🙂 >>

Mmmmm, that does sound nice... I had the 'privlidge' of riding in a Mustang Cobra with a Flowmaster....

Wow, gave me CHILLS 😀

My car doesn't have a car radio either. Someone took it out three times in three months. I gave up on this whole driving + music combo after the third time.

Sometimes I drive with the music off just to have a quiet time to think (maybe when I am thinking about a problem from work)... other times I do it to enjoy the sound of my engine... 🙂

Hahaha, actually i take that back.. if i need to think about pulling into a space, or where im going... I'll turn it down... 😀
