I have it. It's pretty spiffy. explorer.exe is quite bloated if all the aesthetic options are on. But once they are off. Pretty much runs like Win2k. I've noticed that my Kyro II is a tad slower than normal though. Not by much.

I'm using the final and I like it. ZDNet reported that it will not require any more resources than a computer that runs Win2k adequately (PII 400 with >128MB of RAM should be fine).

STABLE!!!

using it on my laptop, boots faster than 2k and i haven't had any problems with it beyond it not detecting my nic card - but i just poped in the win2k drivers and it worked fine.

the drivers that come with xp are all digitally signed and verified with whql, w2k voodoo drivers are not, theres a huge process in getting a driver into the os.

Many Windows 2000 drivers that follow WDM should be compatible with Windows XP. Don't blame me for any BSOD, though. :)

Had my copy for about a week. I'm pretty satisfied with it. It is faster than any of my previous OSs I've tried on this machine. Takes only about 20-25 secs to boot to windows. I've been running in contiuously for about 14 hours a day and haven't had one single crash or stall. Haven't really tried gaming yet but that will be next.

AMD Athlon 800 mhz T-bird on Asus A7V
256 MB PC133
Win XP Pro 5.10.2600

What the heck are you talking about? It's no different installing a non-signed drivers as one that is... except for an extra window warning you that the drivers aren't signed.

Agreed. Only one extra step. Not much of a hassle.

i was refering to getting the driver onto the cd when the OS discs are manufactured, not installing them,
