There's a great deal on the Ultrasharp 1901FP, and I wanted to know how it performed. Does anyone have this monitor? Would you recommend a different 19" LCD that's around $540?

What are you going to be doing with it? Applications? Gaming? Need to know in order to give an accurate answer.

I've had one for about 3 months now. I like it quite a bit. I started with a 15" Envision LCD, then a 17" Samsung LCD, and now to this 19" Dell LCD. Out of all of them, this has the best picture quality and brightness.

People have said it ghosts quite a bit, but I must have very non-sensitive eyes as I've played FPS games on it without any problems. I've also played full motion video without noticing any ghosting. I'm using a DVI connection from a GF4 4200.

The portrait and landscape mode is pretty cool also. For the first 2 months, I used it portrait mode. Makes surfing a lot nicer.

Overall, I'd recommend it.

I also have the 1901fp with a ti4200 with a dvi connection.

I don't do a great deal of gaming but dvd playback looks great. cable tv(not digital) through my tv tuner, however, does not look very good.

anybody know what the diiference is between this monitor and the Dell lcd TVs?

Look at the Hot deals section constantly and you should be able to find one for about 500 or lower. :D Christmas is around the corner and Dell should have another deal coming.

This is an awesome monitor. I love mine. I don't play games, just surf and watch tv. My TV tuner looks fine on my 1901fp. The USB ports are problematic if you turn your monitor off. When I turn mine off and then back on again I get an error saying that a non-high speed device is plugged into a high speed usb port. No solution, it just happens. I would definately recommend this monitor. I paid $452 for mine after a coupon, sale, and another coupon.

for work this is a very nice monitor, for gaming i was a little disappointed, i barrowed one from work one weekend to try out with BF1942, it looked very nice, but something just wasn't right about it, when things were moving fast the pixels didn't look right (to me) when there was high contrast between two objects....it wasn't the blurry/fuzzy thing everyone talks about, but somethign i couldn't put my finger on....but then again it could just be my eyes being used to a CRT. in windows it was very sharp.
