It's right on the site...$180 or $200 for the deluxe model.

Edit: Did you mean the cost of the actual beer?

$23 for a mini keg IIRC...

I think I'm just going to turn my old dorm fridge into a decently looking kegerator for regular sized kegs. But if you have the money, and enjoy Heineken, then I'd go for the BeerTender.

How long does a keg stay fresh for once you tap it? I'm not quite an alcoholic but I'm a cheap bastard :)

I have this one: http://www.builderssquare.com/...d_Digital_Display.aspx

It's pretty good, I have no problems with it. It uses a giant peltier to cool. My local beer store has about 2 dozen different kegs available, from $18-$40. Things like Heineken, Köstritzer, Oberon, etc.

A few caveats, Be sure you have local access to CO2 cartridges. My local homebrew shop sells them very cheap. Also, you have to let the minikegs sit for a minimum of 6 hours before tapping, preferrably more, though. Even a little bit of driving stirs them up so all you end up with is foam if you dont let it rest.

Not long. Sometimes you get deformed plastic pieces, too, so you can't even open the keg. Last time my roommate and I got one of these, the plastic top wouldn't fit correctly. We ended up having to just pour the beer out into a big ass bowl and clear out some room in the fridge for it.

Plus, it's Heineken. Blech. :p

This!

And unlike iamwiz82 I've never seen any other minikegs being sold other than Heineken, so the whole system is rather useless.

That's a poor deal. The keg is 5 liters, that's about 14 twelve ounce beers. If the kegs costs low $20s and they require another $1.12 for a new hose on every refill you're paying something in the area of $1.75 per serving. You can get a twelve pack of 12oz Heineken bottles for $12 which is $1 a serving. So you have to invest $200 in a new delivery system that raises your per unit cost by 75%? Gee, where do I sign up?

Going to be honest, I've never had one of those last more than an hour or two...so I couldn't tell you.

I meant more along the lines of a full keg, just throwing around the idear of a kegerator in my head.
