I really hope this will work
🙂

I had this animal when I had an ASUS TNT2 Ultra Deluxe and I used it often to record songs off MTV to the hard disk. Now I have an ASUS Geforce 6800 DDR and this is without the Video in/out - so no cable. Which card do you have - check on the Manufacturers site if this cable should have been included. Do you think it is possible for you to pick up just the bare S-video connectors, if you can then I could get you the info of which pins have to be connected to the RCA connector.

Call 3dfx, they'll send you one. I said that I bought an OEM card from a show. They fed-ex'd me one the next day for free, plus I got an email apologizing that it took so long for it to show up.

I don't recommend it tho. The picture quality is lousy. it degrades way too much.

late.

Are you sure that's not just a property of the TV 🙂
What kind of RCA cable are you using?

I have a 12' double shielded gold plated RCA cable running from the RCA end of the S-Video adapter on a V3-3000 to the back of my TV and it looks fine (as far as TV goes).

Yes, I have a 2000 in my System description, the 3000 is actually my roommates, we did an experiment using his video card and my DVD player to see what a DVD looked like on TV-out, it looked quite fine IMHO. No where near as good as a monitor, but for a TV it was pretty good.

You certainly don't want to try and read text on a TV...but it doens't look terrible graphics wise.

Anyways, as for the cable, like was said, talk to 3dfx, they'll get you one. We tried to hunt one down at electronics stores, and an S-Video to RCA converter isn't a very standard piece of equipment, except for video cards most video devices have both (or that's what I was told), anyways getting it from 3dfx is probably the easiest.
