Reason I ask is the current freezer where I live smells like fish, constantly. The ice ends up smelling like fish and it isn't nice to smell the scent of fish while you try to drink something. I live with my girlfriend's parents so I cannot just ask them to remove all fishy items from the freezer. I was planning on looking into a seperate fridge/freezer and or an ice maker. I notice an ice maker is just about the same price as a fridge/freezer combo, around $800-1000 dollars.
