Question in title. Does anyone have an e-bike? What brand and are you happy with it? Bonus points if you have a cargo e-bike and carry your kids around in it and can share your experience.
 
I visited my work office in Wisconsin last week. Co-worker was charging his battery on his desk and I asked what it was. He rides his e-bike 6 miles to work and back home. He said it can get up to 30mph. I asked if he had a helmet. He smirked and said no. I facepalmed hard.

Sometimes I think I'd like an Ebike, but there aren't really safe places to ride getting to something useful. The roads here are narrow, fast, and congested. Add cell phones to that, I'm not comfortable going way slower than everyone else.
 
I have a Babboe curve mountain, running on its 6th year which now will be transporting my 3rd and 4th child. It has been working really well, but some parts have rusted easily.

I have a Cannondale, I haven't used it a lot yet, but overall it seems satisfactory so far. It tops out at 18MPH or so for the motor, which suits me fine as I only got it for traveling around town, not really planning to go anywhere more than 4-5 miles away, but there's a number of hills around here that made having motor assistance appealing.
And I do have a helmet 😀
 
Considered getting one for my wife for her commute, but she opted for a standard flat bar hybrid bike. Partly because of price and availability, and partly because of weight. We live on the third floor of a walk up and store our bikes inside for security (and lack of outdoor secure parking).
 
I sometimes toy with getting one, but can't really justify the cost. Would be fun though. Maybe at some point I'll decide to splurge and just do it.

I kind of like the idea of removable batteries as I can always carry spares in a backpack and I already have lot of them.
