Does anyone have access to the Mannheim Auction Website

I had a guy I know who has a car dealer license go to an auction for me yesterday to bid on a new vehicle. I told him a limit, and he went way over it (~$3,000). I want to try to look up the actual results of the auction to see if he really paid what he said he did, or if he has inflated the cost some. I just need to have someone who has access to the site lookup the vehicle for me.

Thanks!

Even if the OP wants the new car, its pretty dickish of him to think that this guy doesn't deserve to make a couple bucks for the work he did.

$3000 over to go to an auction to make a bid for the OP? May I help you buy a car?

Well I bought my car at a Mannheim Auction. They way it worked for me was i went with him to the auction. I picked the car out and he bid. If I got it in my price range then I pay the auction fees and give him 5% of the car price on top of it. Win win for us both. I get a car very cheap and one i pick out and he gets the money right away with upfront risk to him.
He does this in the N.VA, DC, and Maryland area.

So I ended up getting access to the auction results and he was being legit. He did go over the price I wanted, but I was being pretty unrealistic. We were able to negotiate it and both get to a price that we are happy with. I am getting it for about what Edmunds and the Black Book say the dealer trade in would be, which in my opinion is still a killer deal on a used car.

My point was that the OP was wanting this guy to do all the work. I would definitely expect to make a couple bucks if I was doing all the leg work. It doesn't sound like the OP really knows this guy either.

Well to be fair to both yes the guy does deserve to be paid. But he should have never gone even $100 over, let alone $3000.
The OP should have done his research better and IMO either gone to the auction and/or had the person send him the auction sheet for that day and run the Vins and give hard numbers for each car he liked. But he should not have to pay anymore then he said.

OP just tell him that is to much and went above what you said. Now if you said its ok to go over a little then $3000 on a $40k car might be a little to him. But 3k over on the car I got I would have walked.
