Does anyone have a problem with the ChainTech VNF3-250 using two 512MB Kingston HyperX PC4000 RAM Sticks?

Hi all,
I was reading quite a few of the members are having problem with the board recognizing the correct amount of memory with two Kingston 512MB HyperX PC4000 sticks. So this would count out running 3 sticks. So does anyone here running fine with the HyperX PC4000 double sided sticks at all? I am more interested in the two or three 512MB sticks on board.

Thanks.

I just got a VNF-250, and when i put in 2 double-sided sticks of Crucial XMS3200 CMX512-3200C2, it refuses to boot at all. It just sits there with a blank screen and beeps. I've tried them in slots 1-2 and 1-3, as well as trying each stick by itself. Either stick will work, but not both together.

After more testing, i found that i could boot with one stick, force my memory timings to be 2.5-3-3-6 and then put in the 2nd stick and things worked out ok. When i upgraded to the 7/29 korean beta bios, it forced my memory to run at 333 MHz or lower, and sometimes recognized only one stick.

This board is funny, ive found that when using double sided sticks i am forced to clear cmos to get more then one stick to boot after instalation. This occures with the 3 diffrent common bios versions for this board.

I have been able to use 3 double sides sticks with the following oddities. First, with more then one stick, or with changes after installing more then one stick (having two and adding a 3rd or having one and adding a second or second and third) i have to clear the cmos then enter the bios, configure, save and exit, then manualy power down and reboot. This allows the machine to run normally.

Second, with 3 sticks of double sided memmory the system will not allow 200mhz, it allows 100, 133 and 166 memory speeds but not 200. 2 sticks is max for 200
