up, got my card and yes CHASE CASHBUILDER PLATINUM is not eligible for CHASE SHOP SECURE program. I have asked them to switch me to regular CHASE PLATINUM MASTERCARD which is eligibile for CSS.

I am 100% sure I applied for the Chase Gold Card online...it was approved....I received the Standard Card from the goons.

Of course the Standard Card is not eligible for the Chase Shop Secure. Arggggggggg.

Jeez these people at Chase are morons! I am applying for my THIRD different card from them and NONE of them were eligible for the low price guarantee even after I asked them several times before applying if it was eligible!!

This is probably screwing up my credit report because I am apply and being approved for so many different cards.

good luck, yes they suck a lot. I just recieved my regular Chase Platinum MasterCard and enrolled in CSS program.

I recieved my Cashbuilder a month ago but didn't activate it and after a month I had to threaten closing it before they expedited my request to switch to regular Platinum Card.

Don't apply again just tell them to switch you to the card that is eligible for the program. That's what I did they told me Cashbuilder is not eligible so I asked them which card was eligible and requested that my account be switched to that card.

Also switching to another card shouldn't need a credit inquiry.

goodluck.

Hey Zombie what phone number did you call to enroll in CSS?

I called Chase customer service NUMEROUS times and they told me to call the CSS vendor...the vendor told me to call Chase customer service and one Chase "representative" (I use that term very loosely) told me you had to enroll online.

Boneheads galore!

I went through the hassle of applying for a Chase card just to get the BVG. Then I went through the hassle of calling up and signing up. I was sent a brochure and told my card now had BVG.

First time I called the company that actually handles BVG(which is a very bad company, btw) they told me my card was inelegible.

After going round and round with them and Chase I decided to forget about it.

I ended up with the Chase Double Platinum card and then I called Chase at least 15 times (I am not kidding) trying to sign up for Chase Shop Secure and each time they told me the card was ineligible.

So I had to apply for the standard Platinum card....yesterday I got a rejection from Chase for the standard Platinum card so I called them and the jerkwad wanted to know why I didn't just sign my double platinum card up for the Chase Shop Secure....he did it for me (supposedly) in about 1 minute.

I have wasted so much time on this.

Chase is suck.

I kinda gave up on the whole thing....on other boards I read that there are no longer any cards that allow internet price matching...dag!

Hey Zombie did you get any information from Chase regarding Chase Shop Secure that described the features and procedures for using the program?

I have their credit card...no Welcome Kit, no Chase Shop Secure information...Customer Service keeps saying they will send it to me. Lousy service from them so far.

RossMAN, do you use Discover, or mainly stick to AMEX?

A friend of mine, who loves Discover, was thinking of starting a website dedicated to different CCs and review them. He has had over 30 CCs since he was 18; he is 22 now. You and him probably have had every CC known to man :)

Discover is the ugly bastard of Amex, that's my personal opinion.

People either LOVE IT, don't know it or hate it. I'm in the middle.

I doubt either of us has the exclusive Amex Centurion card.

I used to be an Amex hater (now I just hate the trendy Amex Blue which I swear every AT'er has except for me) but you have to admit their card benefits are generous.

I have listed most of the cc's I carry here.

ok update, Called chase and my account shows that I requested Chase Shop Secure service back on Jan 15th and yet I haven't recieved anything.

I talked to couple of people and got this # for shop Secure 1800 735 1408 it's open Monday-friday will try it again on monday. Meanwhile they said they will try and send me another package.

CHASE officially sucks. One thing i like about them is that the wait period when you call them is less than 10 secs :).
