Until you move to syracuse and realize how much it sucks. Though that all depends on where you're moving from. Where abouts are you now?

Right now it's Canandaigua/Rochester. I didn't mind Syracuse, but I am not too familiar with the area. I don't mind the winter that much.
Ah so you know all about the small upstate city thing then. Shouldn't be too bad then.

Personally, I really like Syracuse. We have Dinosaur BBQ.
Very true.

What lake is polluted?
onondaga.

The job market is awful.

Aww ... c'mon now ... we're going to have the world's largest mall .. :p
hahah
I can't imagine why someone would want to pump so much money into carousel center.

It's located on one of the most terribly polluted lakes around, in a city that is in constant economic reeling.
Do they expect people to come from far and wide to go to the worlds largest mall?

Yah, I don't understand the logic .. but whatever. I guess it's just for the tax breaks. From what I understand they have to start paying property taxes next year unless they come to a new agreement.

alot of mercury in onondaga lake. we still have alot of other clean lakes close by.

oneida lake is really close .. good for boating/PWCs. Sandy Pond / Lake Ontario isn't too far. Keuka lake is about an hour (one of the finger lakes).

Around the lake is pretty nice. I really like Onondaga lake park in the summer. I skate there alot. Just remember, you're only allowed to eat 1 fish / year. ;)

At least it didn't catch on fire, ala lake erie.

Jumpem, what's your GPA? Being a defense contractor, Lockeed has higher standards then most companies.

Dinosaur BBQ is in Rochester too ;)

At my junior college it was 3.64. At RIT it slipped a little due to being all upper level courses, to 3.44.

hometown is Liverpool (where Lockheed is) just outside of Syracuse.

Moved to No. Virginia as I couldn't land a job in the 'Cuse are. Still love Syracuse sports though! We just got a new Athletic Director!
