it's suppose to be funny if you understand it.

A guy name Mark is sitting at the bar next to this really skinny man. The man looks poor and he isn't in great shape. Every 5 mins he orders vodka. Mark is just sitting there, suprised that for 3 hours this continues. When the guy finally has to go, he just walks out to his car. Mark is suprised that the bartender lets him just walk out. The guy can hardly walk and is completely wasted. Mark takes action and phones a cab. He runs out towards the skinny most-likely-stone-and-obviously-drunk guy and says "Don't worry buddy, I got a cab coming for ya." The man looks up at Mark and with a smirk says
"My wife left me the keys and left, and I don't think my son would care."
 
the only thing i can think of is the drunk keyed the guy's car and the cab. so when the cab comes they would be so pissed and beat the crap out of him?
 
I only got a rational explanation from it. Drunk dude's wife left him, and his son hates him... if he gets into an accident and dies no one gives a sh!t, neither does he... LOL, not funny...

If someone could provide the R E A L explanation please?
