Does anyone ever frequent the official PlayStation forums?

I stopped by the official PS forums to kill some time...and boy was I shocked. It seems that everyone there is a 13 year old that blindly follows the notion that the PS3 is in every way more advanced and superior than anything on the planet. Sadly, I was one of these mindless ghouls (fanboys) until I luckily one day decided to do some thorough research on all the PS3 hype. Has anyone else found my observations to be true?

I'm sure it's the same with all message boards dedicated to one brand in a competitive market. Ever look at ESPN's individual team message boards? You lose an IQ point for every minute spent gazing into that particular circle of hell.

the xbox forums are no different, if not worse.

hell, any console forum on the net is pretty much filled with fanboy nonsense.

We don't need a PS3 or any other "fanboy" bashing thread, so is there another point you wanted to make OP? I am happy to hear you are reformed, but perhaps a little compassion is in order, for those that still suffer the same plight that you once did? Instead of, for example, subjecting them to ridicule.

I wouldn't say he's attacking PS3 fanboys, but rather making a point about their nature. I'm an Xbox guy meself, but I can barely stand to read around the Xbox.com forums due to immature posters. Every time MS fixes or updates they console I find loads of threads about how current owners feel ripped off. It happened with the Elite, it happened with the price cut, it happened with the inclusion of HDMI in the Premium.

Perhaps it's best that those forums just be avoided if you find them as annoying as I do.
