Does anyone else's hands get really cold after a little while of sitting at the computer?

I said never mind if it does not apply.
I'm not trying to hurt the girl.
Do you realize its not at all uncommon for females to get a touch of CTS during pregnancy?

Peace be to you...:sun:

yeah, in the winter. I'm cheap, keep the furnance low, no problem except my hands get cold at the computer.

Easy solution - have a fan blow the warm exhaust from the computer through a duct and across the keyboard. Nice warm hands! If that doesn't work, put electric socks on the mouse.

My hands freeze horribly in the winter. I'm not in a real cold climate either. The average temp during the winter is 40 degrees in my area. My body temp is usually 97 degrees. It's gotten up to 98 degrees -- and I was horribly hot.

Cold extremities may be caused by a low thyroid count.
Take an iodine supplement and/or see a physician for a blood test.

I've had a full thyroid test done - all counts were in the normal range.

Are you sure that there is not tingling sensation goign on? I have Carpal Tunnel Syndrom and man after 10-12 hour of online gaming my hands are like dead hunks of meat.......
If yours are just cold you should put on a pair of mittens and suck it up...........
If you have CTS why the hell are you playing for 10-12 hours?

My hands usta get very cold when I would use the computer for along time. Not anymore though, since I have changed chairs to a more comfortable instead of a wooden chair and making me have bad posture and improve my circulation a little bit(excercise) try these and see if it helps.

Is the room where you computer is located cold?

Yep, the room is usually 70 or below. My office is next to the server room and they like to keep it cold there.

ehh..looked at the thermometer. it's 60 something in my house. i guess that means it cold.

brrrrrr.....

It can be pretty cold if you live in a normally warm climate (like Phoenix). I've had the same problems with cold hands for years. I know that the reason why I've always got cold hands (and feet) is that there's a history of poor circulation in the extremities in my family.

One thing that works well for me is to put my hands under hot (very hot) water for a few moments every once in a while to keep the blood flowing.
