Does anyone else's dog go crazy after it gets out of the bath?

Yep, dogs I've owned typically run out to the grass and roll around on it. I think they don't like smelling "clean".

It's actually a survival mechanism. Dogs commonly roll in anything that stinks like ass to mask their own scent. It's an advantage both against potential predators as well as prey.

Why would dogs need to mask their scent against Kibbles N Bits?

The dog is unusually calm while in the shower, other than the occasional poop incident. As soon as the shower curtain opens, she goes Tasmanian Devil on me.

My dog does this, he's a basset hound, I think it pisses him off that I ruined his month long quest to smell as bad as possible.

I wouldn't say he goes crazy, but he likes to rub the walls to try to get dry even after I towel dry him.

Golden Retriever here. Same situation, but we have trained her to have manners and pride in our work. After the showers, she just lays down and licks her own paws. Cute, cute, cute!

Mine does the same thing when I pull out the JIF Extra Crunchy.

Is this you, OCGuy?

My bigger short haired dog just goes and rolls around outside.

My smaller longer hair dog seems to appreciate the cleanliness and dries herself off by rubbing/rolling around on towels.

yep, he barely moves during the shower as soon as he gets out he shakes like mad, head butts the towels we lay on the ground (alternating ears). then runs apeshit around the room for a couple minutes. its funny on the lineonelum too bc i think his paws are still slick... no traction at all
