Does anyone else unintentionally lie about graduating college

I was told once by a professor that there are tons of people out there who only have a semester or so of classes unfinished and claim on their resume that they graduated college with a degree because they feel that "almost" is good enough. It is supposed to be the #1 most popular lie on a resume in the states.

Well, would you consider what he's doing lying? It's a simple omission of truth.

I define lying as "the act of knowingly giving incorrect information." So when you say something and you KNOW they interpretted it wrong and you just roll with it, you basically lied.

well maybe cuz thats whats drilled into students heads from grade school to high school
