I never listen to the radio while I'm driving. Since I got this car I've turned the radio on twice. Once to see if it worked, and once to get the right time to set my clock. This is a little... strange?

Let me clarify. By radio, I mean broadcast music, talk and sports stations, as well as CDs and tapes, along with subsciption services such as Sirius and XM. I don't listen to anything.

Well, our 5 radio stations here suck for the most part, so I don't listen to the radio very often.

I can't drive in silence. While driving I've always got either my XM radio or my iPod going. Always. You're a freak.

You mean dead silence? For what reason? Are you enraptured by the driving experience?

I'll listen to sports talk, handyman shows, and yes, even Limbaugh (a couple times a year), but music is from my CDs.

I mean dead silence. No music, no talk, no passengers. Just me and my own thoughts. I guess I entertain myself better than anyone else can.

I have to listen to something. I listen to talk radio on my way to work and the local rock/metal station on the way home.

Dead silence seems to make the ride home drag on....

I don't listen to radio, just my cds.

Breakdown of radio in ArmchairAthlete's opinion:

35% stupid ads
40% crappy music
25% annoying dj/radio personality

How much??

Since i prepaid a year, $11.90/mo and a free tuner/car kit :)

Worth it?

With the amount of amazing music and talk shows that i love, its a steal.

The bigger question is, are you keeping both hands on the steering wheel?

I almost always have a CD or the radio on. If I'm in heavy/fast traffic, I usually turn it down/off so I can concentrate on driving..

I don't use it when someone else is in the car but when I'm alone I have the choice of two programed stations: LA all news and Local news talk.
