I can't imagine a worse hell than feeling like you do D:

Ha, It's fine, I just don't listen to music, I've no interest in it and I rarely hear a song or peice of music that makes me want to listen to it, I'm 22 btw. I quite like it, it means I don't get into the whole culture at all.

I don't dislike music but usually I will prefer to listen to talk radio.

I'm not being a dick, but I'd consider it likely you have a brain malfunction. I'm glad it's working out for you, but I think you might be slightly miswired.

That's fair, and probably a better definition to how I feel, I don't actively like any music, that dosen't mean I dislike music, I just have no interest in it... i'm dissinterested, but I don't actively hate it.

Disinterested sounds more normal than not liking it. I'm generally disinterested in video(compared to the general population), but there are some exceptions.

Well I just mean that I don't have an active "liking" of any music, this is probably a better definiton. I'm not repulsed by it, but it does nothing for me.

I can understand that... I guess :^D It's really odd to me though. You never hear music playing in the background, and think "that sounds pretty good"?

To me music is just something so that I don't have to sit in silence, so sometimes I'll think I'd rather have that on than the TV showing AD's in the background, but I wont go find out what it is or spend any money on it :)

Bullshit, we all have lots of music that we have no interest in, but music in general?

Have you tried all styles out there or did you come to this conclusion after listening to some radio crap? There has to be something that gets you going, be it hip hop, trance, metal, rock, pop, classical... I dont think human beings can be completely indifferent to music unless you are deaf :p

What happened to you as a child? I'm so sorry.

They were taught to explore text books and memorize only pointless facts and useless dates, the result of under-represented inner city and failing suburb schools, under-invested country-folk town schools, or a mom on crack that decided to home school her child.

Never taught to explore the diverse arts and crafts, or world music and marvelous mysteries, or majestically enchanting beauties and wonders of life.

Now we have the truth. They've been taught to share their nonsense with the rest of society that is enjoying life. Instead of sharing what they enjoy, they seek to find resolve by trying to eat away into the cyberspace audience.

Welcome to Off Topic, children.

I can understand not liking a certain genre of music, but I find it strange that someone could not find a single type of music that they enjoyed.

Wow an interesting theory, I do like to open up debate, and tend to have slight odd opinions, but I am quite an "art" person, I love going to galleries, and Am quite into sculpture, painting and particularly achitecture, so I don't think that it is "never taught to explore the diverse arts and crafts" I did art at College as it happens. :)

I like music, but I don't have to have it on a non-stop feed like some people. I never understood the folks who "have to have my music with me at ALL times."
I actually prefer the "sounds of silence" over most music...especially the crap that gets churned out nowadays.
