Does anyone else like Meerkat Manor?

I just saw this show a few weeks ago, and I have to admit that I really like it. It's such an obscure animal to have a show about, but it's actually pretty interesting if you like animal documentaries. It's basically a show about a family of meerkats and their daily lives.

I want one as a pet. It would get lonely though, and probably tear the everloving shit out of the carpet. I wouldn't need the pest control guy.

Does anyone else watch the show?

I dont' watch it regularly, but have seen it a few times and liked it. I was surprised at how feisty and murderous they are!

I like that show alot, but it is disturbing how often they kill each other and their babies, it can be pretty sad sometimes. Especially the one where the family just up and moved and left behind a pregnant female because she was pregnant from a male of another clan.

i love the show alot, and had been watching it since season 1, but since flower died... i just don't feel like watching it anymore.

Ooh that's tough. I could totally see people developing a loving sentiment for the animals on that show. It would be heartbreaking to see your favorite animal die.

I saw some of one episode. I hate the dumb redneck angle they push in the ads, and the stupid commentary by the narrator. Animal Planet caters to the lowest common denominator.

My second season watching and I love the show! Reality TV as it was intended; mother nature writes the script.

Meercats are pretty cool little animals, but for me, the show just sux...They try to put too much human-type thought and emotion into the animals.

Yeah, they die a lot, especially the babies.
