I just wanted to see if anyone here liked to go read at your local Barnes and Nobles.. or Borders...

I have been doing that for a few days. and it is pretty good.. since I can read comic books and fantasy novels..... that I dont have...

That's kinda my feeling... if I'm not browsing the material to see if I want to buy it, it seems like I'm ripping them off.
 
I do. During summer before school I'd have nothing to do and just go to B&N's and just read. I finished 2 books that way. Its something to do when you gots no money. If anyone has a problem with me ripping them off, then fooey!

The argument could also be made that it's a whole lot better that I'm reading then out making trouble.
 
I really cant say that I'd be cheating them....

cause I have bought enough books from them already....

I havent been to a library in a long long long time......

but I have been to a library book sale... (great place)

 
i just read some of the british tech and sports magazines nothing else really. Cant go to the library because i have more than $150 in late fees/fines.

quite often..especially when there's time to kill or i if i just don't feel lthat a certain mag or book is worth buying...i'll read it there 😀

I've always wondered what the 'deal' is about that - I mean I sometimes see the same people day in day out hanging out reading books like it was a library or something? I don't ever remember anybody being asked to leave though? I think I would feel uncomfortable doing that, sorta like a freebie or something? But ya know, these places do have nice coffee shops and they do stick couches everywhere in the store - very inviting to hang out and read books. I think if the store doesn't want people to do this then they shouldn't have couches/lounge chairs everywhere! Just my .02c
