Does anyone else hate when people point out your spelling

I HATE IT LOOK AT MY SIG

That should be "get the complimentary beating of their lifetime" ... hehehe 😀

I won't post to correct it, but if it's someone's name (someone important) then I will.

Oh, and humans only have a single spleen, not multiple spleens ...

I don't mention anything unless the post is full of mistakes. I tend to answer threads that have better spelling and such more often than I answer the "lke! my c0mpueter woen't werk!" threads 🙂

On any message board, the quality of the spelling/grammar in your post really is peoples first impression of who you are. Make a bad one and it can stay with people for a long time 🙂

I don't mind a couple of mistakes here and there, since typos are a normal part of typing (and its not like we're writing an essay here 🙂 ). If it looks like you were drunk when you typed it though... 😉

"Don't"

"I want to rip their spleens out and feed it to them with a fork that reeks of fat bastard a$$ crack"

"I HATE IT, LOOK AT MY SIG!"

I'm not one to start correcting anybody, but if I have to try figure out what it was they where attempting to say its not worth reading.

I can't really take it seriously for two reasons, first my grammar and spelling stinks and I know it. I just hope to improve as I go along.😱
Second, I can't take it seriously since I noticed that at times it seems some people are pointing out only the errors of those who they disagree with on particular subjects while ignoring the grammar and spelling of those they agree with. This applies especially to the off topic forum! 😀

i voted yes but that was before i read that spleen ripping one. i would have voted for that one.

O and Voodoo thanks to you that has been in my sig for some tome now 😀

Depends on how bad their spelling is... if it's like reading swahili, then sure.. I'll point that they may want to borrow a dictionary at some point, or at least spellcheck their posts in Word before subjecting us to incomprehensible mutterings... Something like Red Dawn... 😛

Yeah, I made a joke about his spelling in another thread this morning and he pm's me to "fsck off"

Dude can't take a joke, especially when he himself points it out in his sig.

If you hate it so much learn to spell or learn to take the ribbing you will get for it. Another thing for a mod to comment on your spelling you have to be pretty bad,

You do know that because of this thread, everyone will make it a point to correct your spelling, because now we know exactly how much it pisses you off? And then it's just a matter of time before you accidentally PM a mod to "fsck off, b1tch" and you find this in a post ...

Okey let meh klikc on tihs butotn heer teh BAN won

My advice: lighten up. If someone lambastes you for misspelling, shrug it off. If they misspell in their correction though, cook em. 😀

Do you hate it when people are stupid about spelling

Yes, I wish some people would just work on it a bit more. Sometimes bad spelling really makes me cringe. 🙂

My wife is dyslexic, and misspells things ALL the time. It really isn't her fault, but I'm always telling here how to spell "where" (were) "steak" (stake), and silly things like that. I mainly remember things visually, so I can always tell when a word doesn't look right, and it seems odd to me that other people can't do the same thing. do understand that some people just can't spell well, though... it isn't their fault 🙂

My wife doesn't let it bug her when I correct her spelling, because it's important when you're writing a job application, sending a letter to someone, etc. You tend to seem more intelligent and professional when you spell correctly. Keep in mind, I said you SEEM more intelligent, nothing more 😉
