Does anyone else double click the top left corner of a window to close it?

Even though windows 3.1 is 13 years old now I still haven't been able to break the habit of double clicking on the left side of the window to close it. What's crazy is this still works, even in Vista. :thumbsup:

No. It's hard to hit the top left corner, since my TV extends from the left side of my monitor.

i use that more often. also, does anybody click the middle of the title bar to maximize windows?

I put my tv at the bottom right corner. Works perfect since my mouse rarely goes down there.

depends on my mood, but rarely.

I also use right click the taskbar and choose close

My middle mouse button (scroller) is assigned to close windows. I'll also use mouse gestures if I'm browsing.

I didn't even know you could do that, but I still prefer the X button.

I quite often close windows by double clicking the left hand upper corner of the window.

I also double click the the bar at the top to minimize and maximize quite often also.


Edit: I began my computer life at windows 95. I believe i have been on Windows 3.11 maybe once.

Wow, I can't believe so many people didn't know about this... I still do it, too, but not as often. Mostly I use it when a window is not maximized.

I do all of the above: double-click the left side, click the X, right click the taskbar and close, CTRL-W, CTRL-Q, and I double-click the top bar to maximize the window.

I alt F4 a LOT more than click the x. I never double click the left even though I know it works (Win 3.1 rocked)... I double click the top bar to maximize, rarely hitting the maximize button.

I do that on occasion...dunno what posseses me to do it sometimes and use the x other times though.
