Does anyone care about womens' events (sports)?

I was just sittin' here watching some women olympic events, and I realized they are boring as hell and I really have no interest in them. It's like watching high-school guys compete (which I would rather watch). And then there are sports like womens hockey, which is like watching middle-school guys play. Does anyone really have any interest in womens sports? I'm glad they compete, it's good for them, but I'd much rather watch men compete...
 
The only women's sport in these olympics I plan on watching is hockey. I'm a huge hockey fan though. I've been watching all of the men's games, but will probably only watch the USA women.

I am reminded of a quote a somewhat younger person I know told me from what I think is a television show called futurama. "No can dunk, but have good fundamentals"

not that I share this view, you see, but it seems to me to be rather facetious in comparison with the emphasis placed in other types of sports where showmanship brings in money.

So I guess my answer is that sports are sports, I don't see how exactly one places criteria to choose one over another. If it's supposed to be intuitive I must admit I am rather lost when faced with the prospect of choosing something of this nature. Although I think baseball is especially challenging from an analytical viewpoint.

That was his opinion, and he's entitled to that, and I posted my opinion, I'm entitled to that as well.

yea, besides watching attractive woman compete (who are few and far between), I don't really see the point in watching womens sports. Yes, I know I can change the channel (and do), but that's something that upsets me; they could put mens sports on so I wouldn't have to change the channel, and I know they get better ratings w/mens sports (except Anna Kournakova maybe 😛). I just view it as a waste of programming when they put womens sports on.

I know it's not part of the Winter Games, but I watch women's soccer all the time. Most of the time, the domestic women's teams are better than the men's. The Women's World Cup was amazing, as well.
 
I like the women's indoor volleybal when the Brazillian team plays.

What is wrong with you people?!? Women + cold + them skimpy outfits them athletes wear = THO, how can you not love women's events?
 
I'm probably going to regret it, but I don't mind watching the figure skating and the skiing, as well as the speed skating. My mom *always* used to watch it when I was younger, so I guess its genetically implanted in me now or something.
 

I like watching couple figure skate dancing. The thought of spinning a babe, throwing her, and catching her can make me drool 😱.
